Dirt plow---
Well dirt plow was a bust. Nice boat anchor! Plow would suck in about six inches and everything came to a stop Nice holes from the tire chains though. Engine/clutch is willing Just need traction. Had the plow pre-shined. Has anyone bent a lift handle with a plow on? Took both arms on the handle and front wheels would come up before the plow would lift. Had to back out.

You have to adjust the amount of "point" the plow has with the adjuster handle, to much and the plow will just dig to china, to little and the plow wont dig in. Setting up and tuning in the plow must be done every time you plow due to changes in soil conditions. The best way to learn this art form is to attend one of the many "plow day" events held in the spring and fall each year. Dont give up yet, I have plowed many hours with just 7hp under the hood of either the model 70 or Original I used to have. I am setting up another Original to plow right now. Mike

Adjustment, adjustment, adjustment.....plus a spring assist for that manual lift would help.

All the more reason we need our own plow day Jerry, practice, practice practice!
I am working on finding a place to do some plowing. It won't be like a full blown plow day, just a place for some of us Mo. guys to do some plowing and B.S.ing! Hopefully by fall I can find a place. Randy

Yep, we've got to get together and plow.
Hey Randy, what about the Adrian show? Last time I was there a guy was plowing or discing with horse drawn equipment. Maybe they'll let us run a couple of furrows with our Cubs... I'm also going to check with our club and see who plows up the cane field on the fairgrounds. Hey Jerry, maybe I can get away for a few hours this Sunday. Weather looks okay for now.

The reason why us Missouri boys don't have plow days is - plows don't do well in rock.

I will try to find out about Adrian, I have a friend that lives in Adrian and he said he has a place I can plow anytime I want. I am sure he would let a few friends as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
