Those are both SGT's. You can't put a Haban deck on a GT, the frame isn't long enough. Plus, the way that the dual brake pedals fit tell me that it's a SGT. If you try to put dual pedals on a GT, they have to be shimmed out more to clear the hood. In the pic the pedal position is the same on both.

Your right. My bad. I think the one closest to us in this pic used to have an air cooled engine in it converted to the Kubota.

Those front ends look good on an SGT, I'm sure some paint would really set them off. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
I've purchased a dash cover from an 1862...tomorrow I'm going to order a new hydraulic lift handle/chain link since they're reasonably priced. Might get some time out in the garage too, if so I'll post some pics if any progress is made.

I've got both of those tractors now. One is a 2182 and the other a 1782. The 2182 was parted out. Both tractors needed TLC. The man I got them from has quite a variety of garden tractors.
As for the hoods and grilles, the 1782 mod is pretty simple. It needs some refining and could be a pretty sanitary and good looking tractor. I think it needs some side filler panels at both the front and rear with the engine exposed like a big tractor. I'm putting a Johnson loader on the 1782. It will be a dedicated loader tractor. It's my ongoing winter project. I'll post pictures as it comes together.

I bought a 1864, it's just grown from there. The Cubs have replaced old Chevys as my hobby/passion. The only car I have left is a '67 Chevelle wagon. Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with! Tim |

Been waiting on parts to show up in the mail, so nothing much to speak of has changed. Today the dash arrived...new hydraulic lift handle parts should be next

Lift handle parts showed up yesterday. In the next couple days, intentions are to trim the dash, and install it along with these lift pieces. Lately I've been tied up fabricating a weight bar for the 782D and pushing snow. Which in fact, actually just began falling again...they're calling for another 3 inches! Hope to also get a couple action pics today and post them in one of the other threads.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
