Default Retrofit power steering?

Hey, I know this a little off the path, but has anyone ever refit an older CC with any kind of power steering? The reason being, is I plan to use this as a yard mule to move my trailers around.

I've seen backhoes, loaders, and even tracks fitted, so just throwing this out there.

Model 100 Feb 2019 apart for total frame-off / sandblast etc resto

Model 70 Sep 2020 needs total resto and an engine, or for parts
Model 70/100 Mar 2021 buried in rust, frozen engine, got free for parts.

Best thing I've found in lieu of power steering is to rebuild the steering box and use a bearing and a nylon nut in place of the jam nut. Also add a wheel bearing on top of the column where the plastic bushing is. It helps with steering.

I know this doesn't answer your question but I didn't know if you knew of this upgrade.

One thing that may help is pull the spindles from the front axle, clean up the dried grease and reassemble with fresh grease! Oh what a difference it made.....as oppose to just adding grease thru the zerks!

In addition to the steering box/column upgrade and cleaning the spindles, add tri-rib front tires.

I see the Deestone online for $17.50 and free shipping from Amazon.

To answer your question:
Power steering can be put on an older cub.
But it is not a "bolt in" some lines have to be made and brackets made or pirated from later models' with PS.
My two 782's have it, as well as my 1650.
One of my 782's was purchased already converted, it utilizes super GT components like column, brackets front axle etc.
The others I built myself using a JD column and various cylinders, one cub the other Deere.
Also utilized a super steer front axle on both.

Hell, there are people that put SBC engines in them, you are only limited by your abilities/desires and finances.

I saw someone put the power steering from an S10 on a cub before. It wasn't pretty and the steering wheel was offset, like the older Lowboy cubs, but it worked.

I have a steering upgrade prototype. The person who engineered it is a member here and a very good friend of mine. I made a promise to not disclose the design and not to post any pics of it, sorry but a man is only good as his word. I will let that person unveil their own work if they so desire. It is very well thought out and nicely engineered.
