This was about 4 years ago. It probably has 3230 by now.
DSC03637.jpg It's one of those waiting to be made pretty again and have a cat 0 installed. I would think that someone had a big battery in it and left the key on for a long time.

I know Trent didn't buy it new. Pretty sure it was already Case IH by the time he was born!! That is a lot of hours on that 10 though. The old 856 we had on our farm, the cousins I farm with bought it. I think it's at 13,000. It was overhauled by IH once or twice (before my time) and I did it once at around 9 or 10K hours. Lots of things on a tractor are pretty wore out by 10K hours. |

Oh yeah J, I should have said been in the family since new.
I like this topic. I'm trying to get ahold of the guy who bought Dad's 806. It spent a lot of time on our grinder/mixer,plus the normal farming time. I'm curious. .

4000 hours on a KT-1? No way. Either the meter didn't work right, or it had been replaced. Unless you bought it (tractor) brand new, I'm doubting it.
If it is accurate, Kohler should have given you a brand new CH, taken and tore down that KT-1 to figure out what they actually did right on it. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
