Selling dilema
to sell or not to sell... Im kicking around the idea of selling my 1772 and all attachments and replace it with of a newer kubota with a loader.
Iv got a 1772 with 700 hours on it, alternator, starter and drive shaft upgrades. 54" Power angle Plow 45" Snow Blower repainted this winter 60" Mower deck all rebuilt this winter Snow Cab, a modified Deere cab with soft doors set of AG Tires set of turf tires with chains FEL from a Gravely, needs mount modified for the cub Loader includes 48" bucket, control valve and pump I have a small 332 Mustang skid loader as well, im considering selling all of this and find a BX2200 with a loader and 60" deck. I love this tractor... have owned it for over 10 years but I want to start and consolidate some things to simplify the day to day. This is a difficult choice as i do love this tractor, this isnt a for sale thread, or maybe it is... more of looking for moral support would be open to offers 20161103_222643[1].jpg

Whenever I am faced with a difficult choice, I pray on it for a while. Not trying to cast my religion upon you, but you said you was looking for advice. That also allows me to consider my option so that I do not make a decision in haste that I am likely to regret, even though that still happens from time to time. Life is not always about making the right choice. No one ever does, but it is about making the choice right.....and that means right for you. So, personally, I would assess how much I thought I could get out of this tractor. Just for the sake of argument, suppose that number is $2000. I would see how far that would go on a Kubota that you want. If the difference is, say, $4000, then I would work toward saving 1/2 of that amount and all the while I would be thinking about my options. If at the end of that time, I still felt the same, then I would follow through and believe I was making the right choice for me and not throwing myself into debt. If there was any hesitation or if you found a used one for say $4000 total, then I would keep the cub and you would have half of the amount already toward a used one that will still get the job done for you. Ultimately, it's your choice. Just some advice that I would do. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

This has been on my mind for a while now and yes I have been saving up too. I'm looking in the 8-10k range so yes there will be a significant difference. I am also trying to simplify my day to day and get rid of multiple machines in lieu of one do it all machine. Im 41years old and and looking for a machine that will last for many years to come so it must be a diesel. My cub has treated me well but its time to bump up a size i think. I'm not doing anything hasty, that not how i was raised... cold and calculated

Let's see...do I keep my 60" belt drive mower, belt drive blower and light duty loader.
If your thinking of getting a 5000 or 7000 series Cub Cadet do yourself a favor and keep the 1772. I wouldn't trade any of my diesels for one of those pos machines. People always have them for sale around here for about the same price you can get a bota for. Cub Cadet can't compete in the SCUT market, that's why they always had to team up with another company to build them. The Kubota's are awesome machines, 4 wheel drive, shaft driven decks, cat 1 hitch and they hold their value. Look at what 4-5 year old machines are bringing compared to new. I purchased my base B7500 gear drive for $8500 new in 2001. I think the 60 deck that weighs about twice that of a 60" Haban was about $2k more. Look at what these machines are bringing today. https://www.tractorhouse.com/listing...A&MDLGrp=B7500 My Cubs are my toys but when I need to do some heavy duty chores I pull out the Kubota. + they are made here in Georgia

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
