My 1905ish Olds hit and miss engine RUNS
I plumbed up the cooling system on the Olds with help from Roger, Tom and Gene. After we discovered a few leaks, I decided to run it.
We ran it for about a hour and I'm ecstatic to say it ran quite well. Still have to take care of the leaks but it was sweet music to my ears. Congrats Jeff. Man that is great, I could listen to that on a continuous loop and be snoozing in no time.
So the plunger that's going up and down in the top of the cylinder, is that an oiler or is that pumping gas in to fire?

VERY COOL Jeff.
 I could listen to those for hours. We had an ole boy up here, who's long past, but he at one time had over 50 hit and miss engines. Sort of a local legend in the community. But when he left, they all went up for auction...

Sweet! IMO make/obtain a fan and take it with you to shows so when you get the really hot days you can at least have air movement. Always makes me wonder when guys go to shows and it's 10000 degrees out and they are sitting around a dozen hit or miss motors popping away sweating that they don't run a fan off of one of 'em.

Very nice! Hard to believe it was evidently kept under roof all these years. I like the "as found" look.
Here is one I briefly owned about 25 years ago. It went to a collector in the Georgia mountains. Last I heard he had it running. If I had it to do over, it would still be mine.
