Todd

Have not done the Tail of the Dragon and I sold the weapon that I should have done it with. BMW S1000RR. Most evil bike I have ever ridden in my life. Talk about stupid fast. It wasn't happy unless it was doing at least 2X the speed limit. Park Rangers on the Blue Ridge Parkway take a dim view of people like me doing 100+ in a 45, go figure.

My dad has been down there and rode it on his Goldwing (1989 GL1500). I don't think he saw Larry when he was there, but dad said it was truly awesome. I don't know how many times they road it. 11 miles.... 318 turns!! So cool!

Here's me and my 2000 X1 millennium.

Sad to say that bike hasn't seen the light of day for years.
Fun to ride, but uncomfortable.

The Classics like driving an easy chair

Yep! Rode it in 2011, along with the Cherokee Sky way and the Blue Ridge parkway! Floor boards and exhaust I don't think appreciated the weight reduction.

Here's a pic of dad's bike on that trip when he rode the tail. I know it's not my bike but I'm proud of dad. Took him almost 20 years to be able to get his Wing. He and mom went bankrupt farming in the 80's. They raised us 5 boys and dad worked hard to have what he does now. It really is a gorgeous bike for as old as it is. Sorry the pic is so small, I had to steel it off his FB page, LOL.

No he's OK and the bike didn't really get banged up to bad considering it went about 15ft down the bank. If you watch the video you'll see a man standing on the side of the road just as he enters the turn, that man is one of the many photographers that are set up on the dragon taking pics. He caught the whole thing in about 20 pics and it was really cool to flip through the pics as it looked like slow motion.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
