Now that is one wicked cool lil toy, I'd be proud to have one of those around!! I'd, of course, have to see what it could pull, maybe hook it to one of those remote controlled cheap-o truck toys you can get at Wal-Mart and see what's what

That is really cool! Looks like its on a mini rod chassis. Somebody spent some serious time building that quiet line body. They got the scale right on!

On the way home we stopped at the hobbyshop again and i got to talk to the guy that built it, unfortunately it's not for sale. It turns out I've meet the guy before at a track about 10yrs ago and he gave me his email and he's going to send me all the plans and info for the build, he told me how he made the body and i bought some of the materials while i was there. He gave me the info for the guy that builds the chassis and makes the weights so i will be contacting him also, the chassis is all cnc cut carbon fiber, if the chassis is to expensive to buy i will probably make it out of aluminum. He has a video of it pulling on his phone that he showed me and it was awesome, not sure if its on youtube but i will ask. Since i don't have much use for a puller i think a more scale build would be cool and since my radio has a 3rd channel i could easily give it a sleeve hitch or a snow plow.

Tim, since you are into RC, are you aware that ERTL sold simple RC tractors back in the 80's? I had a Deere, it was a lemon--wound up with 3 of them and the final one finally broke--all electronic issues--don't know why we didn't send the last one back, it must have outlasted the warranty. I think they sold IH ones too. I remember other folks having quality issues with them. They are the standard toy tractor size, so you can hook regular implements behind them. Just tossing this out, if you have brains enough to build an RC from scratch, you could probably retrofit one of these with more modern electronics. My skill level stops at changing the batteries. Even if you could only find a Deere, we KNOW you have the skills to turn it into a 1066 IH.
FWIW, mine was similar to a 4430 Deere with a cab.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
