Default New guy from upstate SC

I'm new on here but not Cub Cadets........presently own a 1990 2182 with 60" Haban deck and a 1991 1541 with 46" GT deck.....also a parts 1864 .....
I sat on my first Cub Cadet in spring 1965 at the International dealer in Spartanburg, S.C. who sold everything up to the Emeryville and Transtar road tractors..........I was only 11 at the time ......
The family ended up getting a snapper and I did not own a Cub Cadet until the 1991 1541 was purchased......had a 154 with deck and rear lift from 2003 to 2008
also have been involved with vintage British motorcycles for over 40 years but that's another story......

Nice tractors! That seat on the 1250 looks comfortable.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
