Thanks guys. Look what Lew posted 2 years ago.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ht=rear+sickle Does anyone have that brochure? Jmech, I put it on my 1772 to get it off the truck but I'll probably keep it on a 982 after seeing Lew's post. The one I'm doing now doesn't have the front ports and I kinda wanted to keep it a 984 but I may have to put some remotes in the back. This thing is heavy! I bent one of my TSC aluminum ramps that are rated at 750LBS each.

Nice looking outfit Todd! Jealous! I just so happen to have rear outlets on my 982... I wonder if it is as heavy as the Cat 0 roto tiller? Mine makes the 982 light on the front!
Sam, that isn't too far from me but alas, $1500 is way outside my budget!

According to Lew, they were $1400 new. If that one has ever been used at all, I think $1500 is a little high. Hope Todd got a better deal..... |

Not to be argumentative (cause your my bud) but if we used inflation as a way to figure "worth" we wouldn't be able to afford anything used. It's kind of neat to see what something's price from "back then" would be now, but it's not really a good way to price something. Guess with this kind of rare stuff, the "worth" is determined by the buyer.... but we all know that already. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
