Ok, so no sure if Im alone or not here, but I just spent some more money tonight... bought a tire to match the one good front tire and tubes for both. The back tires are in good shape yet. Bought the hood hinge and bracket also.

Keith got the engine running a little better after cleaning the carb, the choke/throttle assembly needs some tlc along with the wiring harness. Needs the usual cleaning, greasing etc...

Decided to put the 3pt plate on this tractor, that I bought from XMW before i knew any better, plus the axle braces that I bought for the other 18. While im at it, may as well use one of the stack valves in my inventory and run outlets to the front and back.

This thing is turning into a money pit rapidly, but it should be a good tractor when its done.

Maybe a few $$ here and there. It doesn't have to all be done at the same time, after all.....the hunt for the parts can be a lot of fun and can lead you to meet a lot of neat people! You are doing great so far to find that plastic in as good of shape as it is. Also, think of what you are going to have when you get done with it!! Keep up the great work Rescue11

As per the OP's request, and since he decided to keep it, I moved this to the CCC GT section.

Rescue11, you won't regret getting that thing all fixed up.

Now, if somebody would just figure out how to replace all of the plastic with the older generation steel...I love the looks of them old yellers...

Have fun!

Yea lord knows i need another 1864 in my shop Lol.
But it is a decent cub, engine just needa some cleaning and a carb rebuild. Haven't checked to see if she is charging yet. But she doesn't sound bad at high idle.
I believe there is a hydro under the dirt someplace. Will be a good cub once it has the 3pt and the.extra valve. Now i want to see if we can put 4 on my 2182.
Polished up one of the fenders last night, a little buffing compound and some wax it should look good.

Yep 1st step in a tune up is to remove the engine.

Ikea6e, i had seriously considered that as an option, but the dash is in too good of shape to cut up. Im also partial to the cyclops styling.

To date i have recieved most of my shipping confirmations. Hopefully this time next week it will look a little different. Provided Nightow1 doesn't decide to tear the rear end apart when we change the hydro filter...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
