okay I can't resist asking.............
I always thought the R1 or 2 or 3, etc. was the revision level of the part.
Is that not true ?

If true that bearing has been revised 91 times?

Not true. There was some rhyme and reason to IH's part numbering system, but R does not stand for "revision". Seen a pamphlet on it once.

Correct.
BUT, when the part number stays the same, but the end number after the "R" changes that is a revised part. IH used "R1" and "R91" most generally as the beginning of the part number, so revised would continue with 2, or 92.

I always take apart, inspect, then order parts. Then you only buy what you need. And, you know what to order.

Yes these are the part numbers i need. I dont know what year the timed mower deck is or how to tell. I guess i need to tear it apart? I was just trying to come up with estimate for repairs and place to look for the parts.

From your first post.

So, do you not know if you have a 38" timed deck, or a 38" triangle deck??? Pretty obvious difference.

Your above statement is confusing. Do you mean you have a deck from a Cub Cadet "O" on a 70? Or did you mean you have the original deck to the 70 that you are working on? Either way, it could be either deck...... guess you need to figure out what you have.

He clearly stated it's a timed mower deck from a Cub Cadet Original.
You are the only one confused.

Sorry about the confusion. I have a square timed 38" deck from and Original

I need the mower deck spindle/ Mandrel bearings. They are free but i would like to replace them so the deck runs quiet.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
