Default Tiller Adapter for the 1872
A few guys have posted their adapters on here. I finally got mine made up the last couple days.

Marking the gearbox placement.


Plate that attaches to the tractor.



Plate with pins to bolt onto the gearbox. I tried to use all existing bolt holes but ended up drilling 2 more for added support

Added the arm to use the center pin.




The two plates mated together.



Test fit on the gear box.

What tiller are you using????

The Self Powered CC or a sleeve hitch style?

Just wondering since I don't think the belt driven tillers would cover the rear tires..? Maybe I'm wrong on that one ....

Yeah, I thought about that. It's a #1 with both extensions which makes it about 40" wide. Outside of rear tires is about 42" so there'll be a little overhang. I'll see how the mounting goes. More pics to come!

Well I finally got to work on the adapter some more.

Mocking the tiller up to the back to make the lift arms


I didn't want to weld anything to the tiller so I made an attachment point that utilized the original holes where the chain lift went for a sleeve hitch. It's some left over 3/4" rod and 2" angle iron I had from another project.



Lift arms made from 1.5" flat steel, also from another project.

Lifts pretty good!



After I picked up a belt that was too long...then a belt that was too short...I found the perfect length. Gates B173 which is 176" outside length.
