Default Cadet 95 Decals

I've had the restoration of my Cadet 95 on hold while the grandkids used it. When warm weather gets here, I'd like to resume the restoration. Can anyone provide me with high resolution pictures of the decals? I can get some of the dimensions from my decal "remnants" but may need some dimensions as well. I know a couple places I can have decals reproduced. TIA

I also have a 95 and would be interested in obtaining new decals. Most of mine are in generally decent condition, so I haven't thought much about them yet. I am in the process of restoring mine, although I am not going to restore it to queen status. It is going to be a working mower. I can take pictures, but I have found that iPhone photos do not always blow up on windows driven computers. I could take pictures and give you dimensions as best as I can if that would be of any help. The body decals will be difficult to measure out due to their curving and angular shapes. The rest are pretty much square and/or rectangular and are easier.

I have read here that MapleHunter is a good source for decals, but I don't know if he has every done any Model 95s. He doesn't list them in his site. If you have a local source, do you think "we" could get a better price for two sets?

Let me know if I can be of any help.

Mike

Mike, there are two local places that will make custom decals. I can try them both for the best price. As a start can you email me pictures (pf2 at evansville dot edu). My decals are in bad shape but I'll see if I can get enough dimensions before having you trying to get them. I'll let you know how it goes after I get your pictures. Thanks.

I'll take the photos this weekend and email them to you. If you have Mac, you should be able to open them in "Preview" and get better detail. If you have Windows, I am not sure how that works. Some of my customers cannot zoom any of my pictures on their Windows systems.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
