Threaded Insert
I was working on/with my 1772 over the weekend and I noticed the threaded insert on the frame where you bolt the snowblower on seems to have fallen out. I was pouring over all the docs and parts manuals I could find, but there is no mention of it. I did find the camlock button mentioned but not this one. Any ideas on how to find the part number?

If you have the other side intact measure and replace as necessary.

It is a 1/2-13 nut with a necked down shoulder on it.You could weld a nut in there but would have to take the motor out.It happened to me on a 982 I just put a serrated flange nut inside and put the bolt in. It is spot welded from the factory.
