I usually cannot find the bolt on stem tubes so I Use a locking hemostat while assembly. I then air up the tire so the stem stays where it should. If I am putting fluid in just let the air out and have at it.

where to find the bolt on tubes for 23 10.5 12 tires? Im going to buy a bunch of washer fluid for my gts and it seems that some have not had a good experience with a standard tube!

i did look for them FWIW

Molasses is acidic. Heavy but you're talking same problems as calcium chloride

Good Job Steve!! You were lucky to get that stem back.. you must be a pretty good surgeon!

I've never had any issues with the standard tubes but I usually put a small locking vise grip on the stem while filling just for insurance.. Once loaded we run 8-12 psi.. never had any issues with the tire.. even on tractors that we work hard.

I guess we are lucky... around here it doesn't get cold long enough to worry about freezing... so we just run good ole water

Jonathan and I have been looking for these for a little while. We decided that we'd have to go to an ATV inner tube to get the TR6 valve stem. I came across these, and they seem like they would work. Might need the larger one for the 10.50 tire, but the smaller one might work for an 8.50. I may order some to try them out.

They used to be available without going to the ATV tube. Don't know when or why they quit making them. I used to buy them at my local tire shop for like $13 a tube. Not bad at all.... but now this is what they said you had to use as they quit making the 23X8.50/12-12 TR6 tube. Only difference I can see is it's a tube for a radial tire. Only means that they are designed to flex more. Won't hurt a thing to be in a bias ply. Only concern I have is if the stem is in the right spot. ATV's sometimes have the stem deep in the hub for protection. I haven't used any of these yet. But I need to.....

Thank you very much Lance and Jon! Noticed that the bottom option had a 40 mm stem offset versus the 25 mm offset on the first link.

The one tube I used which had the metal valve stem with the hex nuts was a Firestone TR-6. Someone had written UTV on the outside of the plastic bag/package.
