Around Columbus Ohio it jumped from $2.49 to $2.99 from the time I got to work to when I went to lunch. Mind you, I grew up with .25 per gallon gas that didn't change for years, so all this is a little shocking.
It can jump like this because there seemingly is no free market for fuel. It's controlled by a tiny little group. How can all the stations across numerous counties and different name brands all change the same day? Marathon, Sunoco, BP, Speedway, Circle K, etc...….
Sure looks like a monopoly going on here but they say it's just how it works.

All moaning aside, $2.99 still seems like a good deal when you consider just how difficult it would be for you to provide your own fuel.
I want our energy companies to be strong and able to provide us the fuel we need. Likewise for our utility providers. I enjoy having water, electric, gas, propane, etc. If our government could provide us as much for this price it would be amazing.

I probably get way more benefit from that $3 gallon of gas than I do that $5 milkshake or one of those fancy cups of coffee people seem to need every morning but that's just me. I'm so thankful I live in the USA!
Now go out there and fill up your gas cans.

You guys get roads repaved? All we get is cold patch that I have to spend time washing off the quarterpanels of my truck.

It took a while but yes, the entire road ( at least the section in Bucks Co ) was repaved.

I went home a different way tonight since I had an aditional stop and saw regular for $3.149

I can't wait to retire and move out of PA.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
