Mechanic In A Bottle...
I know this is a lazy way out, but I bought about 4 straight shaft weed whackers for $4 each, 1 has major issues, 1 needs a replacement primer bulb before I can even start looking at it, but the other two were intact enough for me to spend 5 minutes each with them. I bought my first bottle of mechanic in a bottle, added it to the fuel and they both fired up and ran (and continue to run) just fine and smooth! Put a little in my 982 and it has never started faster than what it did then and continues to start and run just fine. Keep in mind, I used it once and that is all that I needed and never in large quantities (I think my last word has a wordy dird hidden in it!!!
 ). I'm not trying to put anyone out of work or say that this is the fix all or should replace turning some wrenches, but I wondered if anyone else had used it or had any success with it. Cub Cadet 123

I keep SeaFoam on hand to put in stuff that has been sitting up a while and the fuel system is now a bit gunky. It works well, we just don't use it often. I may pick up a bottle of this to have on hand as well. I think as long as you have a mechanically sound piece of machinery that has just been sitting a long time, it would probably help clear any residue/oxidation in the fuel system. With all fuel additives, after one dose and using the machine if you still have issues, you probably need to get a gasket kit---you're going to need it.

Since my youth, I thought we can only found genie in a lamp, no one ever tell me we can find mechanic in a bottle! I feel betrayed!
