1440 Mule Drive Belt ?
Hi,
I've got a CC 1440 with a 46" deck on it. The belt is missing (PTO/MULE). I know the 1440 didn't come with a 46" deck, but the 1641 does. would the deck belt for the 1641 be the correct belt for my setup? thanks, ET |

yeah they're pretty high. i usually just find out the actual size of the belt and convert it to the generic size and order it elsewhere

this one would be a B105 belt or BK105 (KEVLAR). the KEVLAR belt can be had for under $20 or the regular one for under $10...

Does the "thumbs up" mean this is a good replacement? A GoodYear? What?

[QUOTE=ol'George;423315]Cub Cadet actually calls for 107.8" belt. the B BK105 should do the trick. the .2" are negligible and the tensioner will make up for it. any brand should work

The real question is, what does "BK + a number" stand for? Is the a manufacturer code? Which manufacturer or retailer?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
