As an Owner/Operator over the road trucker for 30 years, pulling my own flat bed and stepdeck, there were many many days, sometimes weeks, when I could not afford to even hire MYSELF let alone a driver if I had owned more than one truck.

Now, many of the drivers working for the megacarriers can barely speak english and are nothing more than warm bodied steering wheel holders and the DOT is more of a revenue enhancement division than safety promoters since the ICC went away years ago.

As I see it the choice this nov. is to turn things around in this country or it's pretty much over !

The truth is if corporations can make huge profit, they don't give a dam who did the work as long they get it done for next to nothing but they are walking on a tightrope.

How can you possibly expect people to buy your product if nobody make enough money to buy them? They replace workers with ton's of robotics machine who can work 24/7 all year long and never ask for a pension retirement plan, this is heaven for them!

One day they wake up in trouble because those robots may loose their job too if we are left we only pocket changes to live on, everyone may get back to square one....That was the time who peoples use all kind of ingenuity to get things done. Wen money come short you got no choice.
