Truly one of the greats from the great country music era ! I struggle with most of today's "country" music as a mix of rock,hip-hop,rap,etc.etc..IMO most of the great musicians would be doing cartwheels in their coffins hearing today's country !

Yeah, another of the great one's... But I think he left nothing on the table, so he lived it his way, and that ain't nothing to be sad about I guess.
Just watched a program a month or so ago with him. The Big Interview, with Dan Rather. He was looking pretty rough then... If you get a chance to see it repeated it's worth the watch time. It was on Axs tv channel. Actually they are re airing it. NETWORK AIRS DAN RATHER'S 'THE BIG INTERVIEW' WITH HAGGARD FRIDAY, APRIL 8 AT 11:30 AM ET/8:30 AM PT AND BROADCASTS 'MERLE HAGGARD-LIVE AT BILLY BOB'S TEXAS' CONCERT AT 12:30 PM ET/9:30 AM PT

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
