Whats the difference between snow thrower attachments???
Hello to all members and non!!!
I'm looking to learn everyday and I was wondering today? Whats the difference in snow thrower attachments I've seen in a few conversations. People are talking about the QA42A - the QA36. Now I own a Cub Cadet 104 that I got a snow thrower attachment with and it's a model CC42, serial #3601. Curious what makes them different?

36 and 42 are 'cut ' widths. there are other differences, and I couldnt define those, but someone more knowledgable will pitch in some great information

i think they only made a CW in a 36 then the CC in 36 and 42? a little mix up? lol

Wow!!! Thats alot too know wild bill= i thank you very much!!! Any chance is there a link i can go to - to see all these different styles of snow throwers??? William - i thank you for steering me the right direction!! And nick - what does the cw stand for?

Does the QA42B have the adjustment to be used on a narrow frame like the QA42A? Also, can the pully be changed and then it will work on a narrow frame? I have a "B" that I may be able to buy in my area, but am not sure if it will work on my 147.

The difference between the A and B models is the size of the pulley. The B is the pulley for the 5/8th belt. I do believe that you can switch the pulley on the B with a pulley from the A. The CC and other models of blowers have differnt setups wide, narrow frames. And vertical, horziontal shaft engines. Maybe someone can post a pic of the differnt configurations.
