Default LT1042 wiring diagram

I'm looking for a wiring diagram for my 2008 LT1042. I fond one, here I think, in the past but I cannot remember where I found it.

My problem is, I was mowing today suddenly everything shut off and it wasnt getting any electrical power, no electronic hour meter module, no power to the ignition switch. Checked the battery and cables and they're fine

I found a fuse that's kind of under the ignition switch (20amp fuse) that blew.

I put a new one in it and it cut for about 2 minutes then blew that one too.

That is why I am looking for the wiring diagram.

This site (http://manuals.mtdproducts.com/mtd/Public.do) only has parts and owners manuals, nothing that has a wiring diagram.

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks
Rick

Welcome Rick. I found the diagram as well. Time to isolate the circuit in question as you probably already know. I would run it without engaging the deck and see if it still blows the fuse. That fuse supplies quite a few components in the system so you will just have to narrow it down. I fortunately have a DC amp clamp just for that but you can also get a 20 amp circuit breaker to install while troubleshooting so you don't go through so many fuses. Something pulling too many amps or possibly wiring shorted to ground, etc. Do you have a DVOM to do some volt/resistance checks?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
