Man... We should start a farm with all these Hoosier cubs! It would really be a sight to see 40-50 Cub Cadets with tillers and plows working 1000 acres!!!

I'll bring 2!!!

...I bet I could talk my Dad into getting his 2 going again for something that cool... So.. I'm in for 4 (NF x2, WF x2)!!!
...Maybe for you, but "Indiana wants me. Lord I can't go back there...."

LOL did someone say Randolph county. Too funny my family is from there. My Grandma still lives in Union City. Grandpa worked at the Body Company almost his entire life.

Portland 35 years ago is what got me into tractors and engines. Me and Grandpa went to the show over there to see the tractors, been hooked since. I was 6 or 7

hahaha.....we're probably related! I've got family all over there as well. Sorry, can't say where I am because of the nature of my work. I remember asking girls to bring a copy of their family tree before I would go out with them, just to make sure that we weren't already related. Seems like I'm related to just about everyone in that county.

Hope you can make it to the next small engine show in Portland

Heck, we might all be related lol. I was born in Muncie, grew up in Union City, moved to Portland for most of my early adult life, and now live in the middle of nowhere close to Blountsville while still working in Union City every day.
Love me some pecan and sugar cream pies from Wick's!
I take vacation every year for the "tractor engine show". Our family has 16 Farmalls we display there every year. Only tractor show I know of that every school in the county shuts down for. Gotta love it :-D

Yes. Aug 21-25 this year.
Feature is Cockshutt, plus the Gravely national show will be there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
