Wider wheels for ZTS1
Hi all, i bought a new ZTS1 46 mower and it works really well , but its so wet here in New Zealand and it sinks into the ground and leaves deep tyre tracks in the lawn'
I am thinking about getting some 20x10x8 wheel assembly's to replace the 20x8x8 original wheels , for a wider foot print and hopefully spread the weight a little better. Do any of you experts know if they will bolt on , or will i need to do modifications to get them to fit . Cheers Andy |

First, welcome to OCC........
I noticed that the ZTS1-50 has the 634Z07244 Complete Wheel Asm of 20x10-8. I would think that would fit. The transmissions are the same on the 46 & 50 inch models.

hi guys , thanks for the reply's.
I have googled eBay, found the larger wheel assembly's 20x10x8, then googled a few different sites. all said wheels wouldn't fit ??? I wouldn't have thought cub cadet would make one size and the parts would fit each type ZT1 or ZT2 ect. As for cost, $300 kiwi for a set is OK but its the freight that will double the cost. Just dont want to buy them and have them not fit. |

Just a thought but try your local tyre dealer for a flotation type tyre , you know the baggy type tyres , they might be able to provide something and it may be a cheaper alternative in resolving your problem

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
