Anyone have experience with the Estate Rake?
Thinking, if this works good, would be great for leaves/twigs/dethatching. Anyone have any experience with it?

I have experience with one about 10 times as big.
It won't dethatch. It won't work well for sticks. Might get twigs, but it is made for raking grass. Might rake leaves. It's a grass rake. |

I have one and i like it a lot. It dethatches great and windrows leaves and grass clippings. You'll want to put some weight in the weight boxes on the rake or it will pull sideways when it gets a heavy load in front of it. This is mine.

Thank you for telling us how it really does, instead of making a guesstimate of what it can or might do. |

There's a couple good videos of one working on YouTube, the one I have seems to pick and roll pretty well also. A cub loader and stone rake really work well to pick up rows in a large yard, allot less hand work.

Go watch videos of them in action. A dethatcher works better for dethatching. Amazing, as the name of each applies. One tool is a dethatcher, one is a rake. Even a lawn sweeper will dethatch some..... but not like a tool made just for dethatching. |

Estate rakes work really well IMHO!
They do a great job if you add weight to them!

Every year around fall time I revisit the idea of buying one of these, they do seem like they would work great. I'm just running out of room for attachments.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
