Yes, it will be right hand drive, i'm left handed and i cant stand the left hand drive on the older cubs. Since the engine will have a s/g it will have a mechanical pto, once i get the 1450 dash on the 149 frame i will address how to make it work.

Put a pull in solenoid on the rod. Then you can leave the electric switch on the dash....

That has already crossed my mind, I'm going to try to stick with a manual lever but if all else fails will probably go that route.

No more progress has been made this week, between snow and appointments my weeks went to hell. So far nothing's going on tomorrow so hopefully I can put a few hours in after work.

I have been without time or funds, seems like everytime I start a project life gets in the way. We're saving for a house and my son and I have been rc racing so any extra cash I've had has went to that, with any luck we can get a house this summer and I can resume this project.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
