Default 2016 Seed Starting

Hello all OCC'ers.

Just wanted to share my 2016 seed starting process indoors. We plant our own plus our neighbours tomatoes, peppers, onions, shallots, tomatillos plus herbs in the basement every year. Here is the setup:

A single tier grow-light on a table plus a 3 tier grow-light rack for a total of 8 growing bulbs.

3 kinds of tomatoes. All heritage varieties Black Krim, Tappy's Heritage and San Marzano

4 kinds of pepper. Tomcat Sweet Bell, Carmen sweet banana, Serrano Hot, Poblano Hot, Jalapeno Hot

Tomatillos
Super Star sweet onions, Talon Spanish and Conservor Shallots

Parsely, Cilantro, Rosemary, Marjoram

Still to be planted in a week are the melons, then cukes and head-start corn (12) on May 1st.

I use 4 1/2 peat jiffy pots in Ziplock containers, drilled and strung with 12lb test Trilene for separations.

Thanks for viewing

Nice indoor garden set up. My father in law keeps his pointsetta flowers year round with a similar set up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
