Rear blade / hitch suggestions
This 1641 I picked up is the first GT I've owned. Aside from mowing, I am going to need to do some light grading. Mainly stone, but possibly a little dirt. The largest stone would be #2's. The cub doesn't have a hitch, so I am starting from scratch here. Any advice you guys could throw my way regarding hitches and a blade that could handle this task is appreciated. Not looking to spend a fortune on this stuff, lots of demands on me presently.
It did come with a front blade also, but honestly not certain if its even for the 1641? Thanks in advance guys. |

You would have to put a 3pt hitch on it for a rear blade. The front blade is the best cost effective choice. Lets see some pics of it.

I think it will work. It's not the one that was actually made for a cyclops, but should fit. Have you tried to install it? There was a minor difference between the WF blades and the ones for the cyclops series. You can make the WF blade work.

It will work. But, you have to take the deck and subframe off.

Yup! The only thing that wont be quite right, is when you angle the blade one corner will be in the air... just a difference in frame height.
Easy to correct, or just live with it

Like you said, easy to correct. Oh, if it has a lift rod, it likely won't be the correct length. JeffinPA makes them on this site. He has an ad in the "Parts sources" section. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
