Millennials LOVE to buy upholstered furniture with a frame made out of poplar.
The wood is very strong, and SUPER light. That makes the furniture easy to move. |

Poplar is big now for moulding that is going to be painted. Cheaper than pine and better quality. Decent pine moulding is expensive. I did my house with poplar. Makes nice flooring also. We have a local yard with a mill and run moulding out of oak, charry, maple, and poplar.

Well, they are still trying to figure out what the road will require,,
on Monday it snowed about 5 inches,,, Today, they started hauling stone,, this is what 70 tons of stone looks like,, The driver backed in,, almost a 1/4 mile from the paved road. Then he tailgated the stone,,,, IN REVERSE!! The 70 tons got them from my pretty good driveway, to the steel bridge,,, I think it will take another 70 tons to get up the hill. |

Well, they decided the hillside on the far side of the steel bridge is too wet to only put rock down,,, so,,,
they started putting pulp wood down,, they will put rock over the wood,,, |

No offense CADplans, but your place looks a lot better in the snow (of course without that green & yeller thing there).....kind of majestic and serene! I could really enjoy looking at that all of the time!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
