The part numbers are identical for the retainer rings, motor and pump blocks, and slippers for both blocks. The slippers are serviceable, but must be with in .005” of each other. I sent all 8 matching slippers. These were checked in 4 places on each slipper and there was a .003” variation in 32 checked locations. I don’t think it’s a sin to go forward with these replacement components.

Yes I ment all 9 slippers and I did check them all too. Power went out last night while I was reading up which made me decide to send all 9. I did not officially send them out but I can double check the slipper count!

We'll see what happens with it , I know the wise and quick thing would be to replace the pump, but I'm willing to experiment with this one ,nothing lost but a little time ! Might be a long winter gotta have enough projects to get through it !

129 hydro update
Just an update to the 129's broken hydro thread , with the help of JohnCub7172 in the way of a set of used slippers and retaining ring ( for a great price ) +++ and some new gaskets the 129 is up and running again. New hytran fluid and filter, reset neutral, no leaks no drips, freed up the relief valves while it was out and repaired the drive shaft couplers, expect it to run another 40 years !!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
