We did a bunch of transmission work on a CCC 782 that had International on the hood decals, I can't remember about the steering wheel cap and dash. It appeared to be all original. Mower has been in the neighborhood since purchased new by a dairy down the road.

Missed a Y/W 582 with International on the dash here too about 6 weeks ago. Not sure the # on that one though, was pretty rough. Had cast diff though.

Just as a note, CCC did repaint some IH built tractors yellow and white. There was a guy on here that found one.... I think it was a 982?

Glad you found this IH 782! I'm sure I'd love a 782, but they just never came my way. It's always been yellow and white, but that don't bother me none!

A little TLC, and this 782 will be fantastic! Thanks for sharing!

Very nice 782. Yes, that dash has been replaced but I'm sure you can find the correct one for it. Congrats on your dream machine.

Congrats on the dream found! All tire look good enough to mow without damaging your yard, if I was you I change the dash, repair the hour meter, change the seat, install a front IH emblem, repair the few ding, give him(her) a good coat of wax and call it done. You have a keeper there!

Congrats on finding your dream tractor. I have one very similar except for a CH20 engine, power steering and Cat 0 3 point. It is my dream tractor.

Nice find on a great looking tractor! The panel for the dash is still available from Cub/MTD although it won't have IH on it. Price is $107. Here's a link, item #2 ---

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
