Build your own;

I was once told by a very fine cub aficionado, its your tractor do whatever you want. When the purists and overbearing opinions start paying for your machine then their voice really matters.. That said, build or buy.. Upgrade spindles and add a creeper...

I snagged this one from IL a couple months back for a Lew price.
They are still around. Last picture: here it is going back together And mods to the front axle adding needle bearings and thrust washers to, hopefully, aid in steering effort. |

I was just lookin/thinkin at my 126 and my Johnson loader a couple weeks back, would be easily done but the center pivot on the front axle would be the weak point, more so than the spindles.
The small fels for a GT are only rated to lift about 350-400 lbs so if a person uses it within those limits I dont see a problem putting one on a 126..... but a wider tractor overall will always be better.

Operators of garden/loader tractors need to use some common sense when using a loader on any size tractor.

Looks like the bucket on mine will hold about a wheelbarrow full of dirt. Just about right IMHO.
The unit came with s fork tine attachment also for moving grass or hay, maybe manure, they look to be a DanCo piece as well, although someone added a flat piece of plate across the bottom. |

Nothing wrong with a FEL on a cub. They don't take the place of a bobcat, but are the handiest thing I have ever owned. In conjunction with a tiller, you can excavate dirt, move gravel, lift heavy things into a trailer or your truck. I use it like an extra pair of hands. I have a bad back and knees and will own one till I am gone from this earth!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
