Dozer blade
I have a dozer blade I got with my 149, I am wanting to use it on my 1450. I know that it fits because I asked already. And I have looked at the manual on this site for the model blade #190-401-100. Mine must be different because there are no anchor plates on the 149 and it looks different. What I want to know is do I have to take anything off of the 149 to use the blade on the 1450? Pictures to show what my blade mounts look like and should there be a model tag on it someplace?

That blade will go on the 1450. Nothing on the 149 to remove. No idea what "anchor plates" are. Don't know why you can't get it on, it fits. You don't have a mower subframe on the 1450 do you? It has to come off if you do. No tag on the blade.

Like Jon said that blade will go right on your 1450.
The part number you have there for the blade is for a super cub cadet with the Haban 54" blade. You don't need the anchor plates, they are for the super cub. |

Where did you come up with the number 190-401-100,
would be the question? Have you had the push blade on your 149 and did it fit properly ? if so just put it on your 1450. |

I didn't pay any attention to the number for the blade he posted. I just looked at the pics of his blade. I like pictures.
OP: If you did look up the 190-401 blade, how did you not notice it doesn't look anything like the one you have? Not even close to made the same way. |

I found the dozer blade manual on this web site the number I posted was on the cover of the manual. I don't know if it is a part number for the manual, the dozer blade or both? The 149 was non running when I got it so I never tried to put the blade on it. I got the 1450 to run but it needs more work to be useable. I need to sell the 149 so I wanted to make sure I had any parts off of it that I would need. Thanks to all for the info and links.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
