Not as far as I can tell, it will occasionally catch a clump and throw it, so I'm pretty sure its not

Sure, I had no issues with it last winter either. This is the first attempt this year.

Well I think the PTO clutch finally bit the dust, the temp dropped a few degrees which seemed to fix the feeding issue, and I went about 15 feet and the belt stopped spinning entirely...

In order, the feeding issue I was having, snow just piling up in front of the auger, even though it was spinning well at the time.

2nd, the auger, not the prettiest but it works

3rd and 4th, the sheared bolt for the PTO clutch to engage and disengage

Have you tried spinning the auger by hand...with the tractor off of course. If the pto is always on, spinning the auger should turn the motor. I'm wondering if something isn't sheared, like the pin that holds the gear on the transfer shaft. The gear is a tight enough fit on the shaft it would spin the auger till you hit snow, then slip. If yours is like mine, there is enough grease around there to keep it from burning up as it spins and mask the problem. Just a thought.

Edit: looks like your problem flushed itself out.

Yeah, now when I hit the snow I can see the driveshaft for the auger stop spinning, and the belt will stop too.

So, anybody have a good link on how to rebuild the PTO clutch? And also anywhere I can find the parts?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
