Default Mulching blades for my 44a deck

My 1650 has a 44a deck. I want to put mulching blades on it. Can anyone recommend a source? Do I need to get CC specific blades, or can I just measure the old blades and replace them by size?

I tried getting mulching blades for my 127. Same size deck. I was told by 2 different dealers that those kind of blades aren't available for my application. I hope you find something. I haven't had luck online, either.

This looks like a replacement for the 759-3812 blades used on the 44a.

I haven't tried them.

Default Mulchers......

I've been using the Gator Blades 90657's for a few years on a 44A deck with the "speedup" center pulley. Its better than the original blades.

Do you mind elaborating on the "speed up" center pulley? I assume this makes the blades turn faster, which would be a bonus. I don't think they turn fast enough, myself. I've been wondering how to spied the blades up. I've thought about a pulley swap, but I come up empty handed. Any info would be appreciated.

I also have a 1650 with the 44A deck. I came on here to find out about mulching blades. I was wondering what you tried and what results you had.

Thanks!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
