I picked up a nice No 2 Trailer today. Really nice to bring something home I don't have to work on.

I've never seen a No 2 in person.. They are scarce in these parts! Where are the stake pockets for the sides? cant see them in the pictures.. Are they welded or bolted in? You think they are factory or have been added? I know next to nothing about the small IH trailers. Always wanted one... but never had the opportunity to get my hands on one!

Thank you.
Do you know if there is linkage missing for the dump bracket to go to the tractor? There are holes in the bracket that I was thinking you could attach rope thru.

We had a huge IH dealer here when I was growing up and they sold a TON of Cub Cadets but apparently they didn't sell many trailers. I remember them having 12 to 15 Cubs on the showroom floor and lots of other attachments but never a trailer?

No problem, the stake pockets are factory, they all came with them, and no, there is nothing missing, you are correct, the holes are to attach a string or rope to dump it while sitting in the seat.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
