Default 782 with extras

Hey guys, what's this worth (one price for everything)? I've had it listed for sale in multiple places for about a week (not very long I know) and only had 2 people contact me. I just wanted to make sure I'm in the ballpark on the price.

Thanks in advance.

The 782 runs and operates great, no issues and no leaks. New points, condenser, carb rebuild within the last 3 months. It has a Series 2 Kohler. It comes with a good 44" deck, the 42" front blade with a new cutter edge, loaded ag tires, loaded turf tires....everything works just as it should.

Also included is a 90% complete 682 parts tractor. It also has the series 2 Kohler, which ran but smoked a good amount. The engine sheet metal and grille are also with the tractor. The hydro and rear end are both good.

What did you price it at?

Package deals seldom sell. List the tractors separately.

I priced it at 850 or best offer for everything. I expect people to talk me down, that's always part of the process.

The 682 really isn't worth anything in trying to sell it separate, the rest of the "package deal" is the mowing setup for the 782. I hate to fool around with trying to part out the 682 and I don't want to just scrap it.

Is 850 way too high?

If that were closer and I were in the market, I'd expect it to be between $500 and $600. The 782 with blade and deck are nice and generally can go for about $400-$500 around my parts, depending on condition, hours, etc. Parts tractors, unfortunately, don't go for much so they don't add to the value very much.

You could always advertise it as the 782 with blade and deck with a "free" parts 682 throw in, it's all in semantics! That way people think they are getting a free parts machine!

Edit: It's all in the market. I've paid less for better but I've also paid more for worse. Just gotta keep trying. I traded two perfectly good GT's (1811 & 1863 each with minor, minor "problems") for a 2284 with its fair share of problems. But I really, REALLY wanted a Super so I gave more than I probably should have. Trust me, I'm sure there are more "me's" out there

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
