A quick update. The steering gear with upgrade is done and back on the cub. I couldn't help myself but to put the washer fluid filled AGs on the rear and Vs up front. Rear clearence is minimal but I think 1/8" will work. Wanna see how it looks?

They are big for this machine. 26x12x12 on 10" rims and I have not lifted the fenders. Can you tell the fronts are only 16s?
A little more down time with it and I'm hoping to have me some seat time. The power angle plow will be goin on soon.

Lol, thanks but not really the look I was after. I'm just working with what I have for now. I might use the 23" turfs with V bar chains off my 1641 for winter traction, I am just kinda checking the look and fitament of the AGs currently.
Here is a before pic.

I finally got the spiral pins and installed the drive shaft. Thanks for all the help, I'm lovin some much deserved seat time on the diesel Cub. She's runnin smooth as silk and started right away with the starter, and glow plug upgrades in 45* temps. Steering upgrade, and washer filled AGs are a nice addition too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
