The Ditch!
I'm convinced that this ditch gets longer every time I weed whack it! But it does look better when I'm finished.

Does that stay to wet to cut with your cub?

No way. You can't tell by the pic but it's a steep bank. The other end of the ditch is a deep wide ditch, usually with water in it. Here's a view from the other end. Still hard to tell from a picture.

Looks good!
I'm glad to see you use a weed eater to cut it. I hate it when people either just let it grow, or spray it. It might be a lot of work, but it is worth it to have a nice looking place!! |

Yes, a lot of work, and if I let it go too long...anyway, got me off my butt.

Lol! Ok. That first pic you posted looked doable! Not the second one though I agree. Wonder if anyone here has made a front sickle bar cutting attachment. I saw a 5 foot sickle bar.. just the cutting bar on Ebay for 100$ new and had some quick thoughts about that type of cutter. I really don't have a need but looks perfect for bllwinkl

I thought about looking into a sickle bar, but let's face it, a sickle bar can't follow the unusual contours of the ditch.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
