You are just getting old Tim....take another snort of the Geritol, slip on a new pair of depends and you will feel better after your nap.

All kidding aside...that thing is waaaaay overpriced. It is amazing what some people think their stuff is worth.

That could be a good deal...for about $3000 less.

The worst part is, someone will actually buy that not knowing it is overpriced.

Then my 2284 is for sale with 54” deck for $5000. I’ll even throw in the 551 blower for free.

My guess is its a guy whose wife wants him to sell something so he sort of tries to by overpricing it and then when nobody calls he says well honey I tried to sell it and no one called then gets off the hook and gets to keep it. Sounds like something id try.

As a package deal I would think he'd have a tough time getting $2,000. He would probably do better selling everything individually.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
