Sad day here
Just made some hard decisions. Based on some new health issues we won't be going to PA plow day. My son and I have made the last 8. It's hard to believe he was 12 at our first one and now he is 20. Gonna really miss everybody and the event. I also after going back and forth over the last year have decided to sell my supers and related items. I probably will not be able to do much work on them or use them so I think the time is right. I am sad to see them go but just sitting in the garage does not make much sense to me. I totally enjoyed putting these tractor together as a collection over the past 9 years. Not to brag but I think they are some of the nicest supers I have seen. I also have enjoyed all the help and conversation here on the forum. I really have not finalized any prices yet but will probably list on here first before craigs or ebay. I have a 1572, 1772, 1872,and 2 2072's. The one 20 has a cast rear and I used it for cutting grass. I also have bumpers, hub caps decks ect... Three have 3pt one has rear PTO. I also have 3 3pt plows that are restored. If you have any interest in any of the tractors PM me. Have fun at plow day.

I was looking forward to seeing you at plow day but I understand your situation. You really do have the nicest super's I've ever seen and I'm sure whoever gets them will be lucky to own them. I'd love to have one of your Diesel's but I'm sure they are way out of my price range. Good luck with your health and the sale of your tractors.

Sorry to hear this Charles! It really sucks getting old! I know my ambitions are greater than my abilities and at times my back reminds me of this! I wish you the best. You really should keep at least one of them even if it does sit around. They are after all, toys... big boy toys! Good luck and take care!

Reality truly does suck! I am 51 and am going to see a surgeon today about my back, I have 3 herniated disc plus some other crap going on in there. I know the day is coming where I am going to have to give up some things I wanted to do when I get older and sell off some things. Its just life!
You have some nice tractors and all the memories that goes with them, that part you don't have to get rid of! Randy

Sorry to hear that Charles, I wish you nothing but the best. I would also agree that your machines are probably the nicest around. I was hoping to get to a PA plow day someday and maybe meet up with you.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
