Default What do these fit?

Anybody care to take an educated guess what this muffler and camshaft fit? They were in a box I got from a fellow that was getting out of Cadets. Other than he used to have 2 Cadets (models unknown--think they were quietline or earlier), and the air shroud, I have no other clues to go one. Camshaft looks new. Also got 2 new valves. None of it was in a box.
I did get a new front wheel bearing, 3 large locking nuts in a Cadet bag (deck spindles maybe?) and a big Kohler air filter. Also got 2 starter generators--very rough shape.

Looks to me like a regular K series cam.
Don't loose or break that hair spring, they are NLA from Kohler.

Yep. K series cam. Green stripe. I think the green was standard cam.

Muffler looks like one for the 1x8/9 series. IIRC, IH offered a larger quieter muffler similar to the 169 for the other tractors in that series.

I think that is a simplicity muffler.

Both entirely possible. K Series Kohler either way!

Thanks for the replies!

The cam looks new to me, like its coated in a rust preventer. Didn't see any wear marks.

Muffler is too small for a 110 Deere--at least the early (mid 60's models)--dad has one Maybe Deere changed the design in the late 60's early 70's?
The 128 here has the same, long round silver muffler that is on my 124--about the size of what is on a Farmall Cub with a shorter pipe (and side inlet).

Got some other new sheet metal and valves--I'll try to take pics.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
