1641 Sleeve Hitch & Hot Rods
Can't visualize too great, a sleeve hitch installation on a 1641.
1) What parts, all, do I need? 2) Diagrams for installation? 3) Perhaps a picture, or two, or three? Be kind, new to Cubbies and grandsons 'n I need this (?).

Sam, you have any sleeve hitch pics for an aluminum rear? I'm thinking that is what he's looking for.

Sam was thinkin' of an easy Brinley style hitch.
Does the flat plate simply bolt on to the yellow back where the height adjust turn screw is located?

If you want to do a sleeve hitch you'll need to come up with some sort of a lift. I used a small winch on the back of this one with a sleeve hitch.

The black steel mount bolts onto the tranny? Parts from eXtreme?
Looks like a solution that I can live with. I am looking at a 3-point used hitch complete. Are there instructions for installing 190-389? Don't see where the bar lift hooks to the hyd lift? Or for that matter, where all this "stuff" bolts up?

Thought I sent you the service manual? The instructions for installing the Cat 0 3 point hitch are in it.
If your going to do the sleeve hitch from Xtreme get the one that has the tabs that bolt to the axle tubes. Don't know if you installed a rear end brace on this tractor, if you did you will need to call Aaron when you order the hitch so that he can take that into account because the tabs will need to be moved outwards the thickness of the steel used for the brace. Just my 2 cents but if your going to use the 1641 for ground engaging tools I highly recommend that you put the GT brace on it. That 1572 in the pic I posted has the Xtreme sleeve hitch and the rear end brace on it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
