I would love to see a larger picture of you layout. It sounds really neat!!!

Dan,
Were inspired to git into model railroading by the rail that goes by where Dad works?
I thought about that while @ a boring meeting @ F.bureau across the street, a couple of weeks ago, as the trains rolled by.
Hard to think about spring crops, while temps are in the minus range and snow on the ground.
I have the patience but not your creativity for building any models from scratch.
Your setup looks nice, to put it mildly.
One day, it will be as extensive as Blissfield's, if you keep at it. Ha,LOL!

I have been surrounded by trains my whole life. I used to live near where that rail line is that you speak of. I actually took a train ride this summer from Allen Park to Ft. Wayne behind the NKP 765 that took us right past Archibold Equipment and through my small hometown of Sand Creek. http://youtu.be/pPKihr0M3uU Dad had a Lionel set up in the basement that we used to run occasionally. I got my first train set about age 14 and it's been downhill from there. (Dad no longer works at Archibold farm supply he's at the turf & contractors building now.) I've seen the MR in Blissfield and there is a lot of talent and a lot of $$ in that building.

Dan,
Pretty cool. My other hobby is model railroading as well. I run N scale due to space. My layout is 12X9, around the walls with a center peninsula and unfortunately, two liftouts for doors. Just started putting it together in November. Was finally laying cork roadbed this weekend. You're much further ahead than me. My son is into it, too. Great father/son time. I grew up around Santa Fe, then BNSF and now live next to the UP line. Can see the trains from our second story.

Nice job on the dealership. You should run a siding to deliver tractors and such. I think we need some more pics of the layout and vids of trains running. Are you running DC or DCC? I'm gonna go DCC and use the NCE PowerCab throttle to start out with. Thanks for sharing.

Under edit: Saw your vid. Nice layout! Love the steamers.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
