I personally don't like to ship items I sold. I've done it on very rare occasions (a car once from il to NY and a couple small parts)

My thing is I prefer hand to hand transactions that way both parties are 100% positive on what's going in and they can physically check out the item before buying..... to many headaches these days when people buy a used item for a quarter of the price of new and expect it to be new quality

Edit: just wanted to note that I do not sell on ebay either. I stick to Facebook groups and craigslist

I mentioned a bad experience with Ebay when I bought the 782, but I have had many good transaction too. There are honest people out there. As always, buyer beware. Do your homework, check the sellers feedback, ask for more pictures or information if you're not sure, and never ASS-U-ME it's ok or included!

How about the times you get n email saying"shipped" and when you want to track it it only says "shipping label created".... To me that alone does NOT qualify as "shipped" I can create a label then "forget" to actually drop it off at the PO for weeks....

That part really gets me. Just had it happen with a few parts for my truck....

Or when it says it's coming from somewhere in the US only for it to take 4 days for the tracking number to show up and when it finally shows up its covered in Chinese writing

And getting more disgruntled at ebay.

I think the "shipping label created" is a USPS thing?
Versus UPS, FEDEX, etc.

USPS software is known to be slower-than-molasses-running-up-hill-in-the-winter, as far as updating with current info.

The shipping label created thing is the outcome of a fairly new Ebay ruling. Sellers have a rule they must comply with in that the item is "shipped" quickly, like 48 hours or such. Obviously a loophole, as the label can be created almost immediately (to comply) and then the part sits on the guys coffee table until he's sick of looking at it.
I too have purchased a part, due largely in that it was advertised as nearby (within NY) and would get it a short period of time, only to have it be three weeks and come from California.
Still, there also are some great people selling nice items at fair prices on Ebay that ship quickly and package carefully. Look closely at their feedback, that's what it's there for.

Didn't ebay also change the feedback rules a couple of years ago?
Seems the change was in the sellers favor as well.

Just make sure you take time to READ the sellers feedback.
It speaks of their reputation ( both good as well as negative if there is some.)

As long as you are aware that feedback scores are only for the prior 12 months.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
