Finally decided. I think?
I have been wrestling with what to do with my supers for over six months. My original goal was to collect one of each of the 72 series supers. It took me about 8 years and over 25 supers to get where I am now. I like the tractors, but for me the fun was really in the hunt an journey of finding the hard to find parts and fixing them up. I would not call these restored tractors. Some parts have been replaced but only with correct or NOS parts. 95% of all paint is original with some touch ups. I do not use any for work the most I do is go to plow day once a year. So for the rest of the year they sit and collect dust. My son is not really into them. We now do a lot more car related things. So I am trying to justify keeping them. I don't think they are really appreciating so it might make more sense to put the money into something that will.
I figure with the tractors and parts I have it should be around $15000 worth when all sold. All have under 1000 hours and are in excellent condition. I am about 95% sure I want to sell but still have to get over that %5. I think if I had an idea what to do with the money it would tip it over for me. This year will be mine and my wife's 30th anniversary maybe I could get her something with the money.

Funny when I have money burning a hole in my pocket and want something. It goes for big $$$$'s. Then when I want to sell, pennies. So what do I spend the pennies on?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
