Upside down stickers?
Was wondering if anyone has any upside down stickers on their cubbys. Did not think much of the one shown here on the seat spring of my 71, but then I got to looking on my new 123 and spied another upside down sticker! Who did this? Maybe I'am the only one and should play the lottery this week!

I have a Mule drive off a 1250 that has an upside down instruction sticker..
Almost every Cub I have owned has been repainted, with the telltale stripe of yellow on the bottom of the tower where it bolts to the frame....so I wouldn't attribute the incorrectly applied stickers only to the factory.... It sure seems a lot of cubs made their way thru resellers down the road..and I bet a lot of them had oops moments...

I think that's how the QLs were painted at the factory. The 1450 and 1650 I had were that way, and they were both all original.

LOL....I seen some pics of a cub that was a 124, and on the other side of the dash it had the 125 decal.

Could it be that the seat spring and/or the headlight blank panel were installed up-side-down?

I also have a 126 left half with a 107 right half, according to the stickers......Hadda be a reconditioner......It is actually a 126 and the pictures had me confused a bit when I was buying it off Craigslist...
Matt, do you think they touched up the quietlines in the factory?? It doesn't make sense to do any masking in a production situation....I would expect the frames were all painted and dry well before the cubs were assembled. Perhaps something in the assembly was regularly scraping the paint and they had to redo that area?? I know pulling the seat pan on a quietline often scratches up the paint on the right side..

But these stickers should look alot newer than what they do. If I did a number like that at work, I'd be in a sling! I'am thinking factory, but......

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
