1641 Snow Blade Question
I have a 1641 with a 42" snow blade (not mounted). The blade has a mounting package 377 (190-377-100) attached to the blade but all of the attachment threads I read say it should use a mounting package 316 (190-316-100). Can either mounting package be used on the 1641? The tractor serial number is 843814. Also does anyone have an operating/install manual for this blade?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

There is a different part number between the two sub-frames due to the taller super-steer axle, but the main difference is tractors after serial # 821,101 did not have a lift bracket built on the rock shaft. You will need Cub part # 719-3093. I think the sub-frame will work but you may have to play with the lift rod length.

Thank you
Thank you for the information. If I was to buy the frame what would a fair price be?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
