Hydraulic Unit on a 123

Jason, it looks like that cylinder that is welded on your bracket would hold a lift bar for a blade or snow blower, so you may want to leave that on for that kind of attachment. Also, there is a 48" CC123 deck on e-bay (search cub cadet 123) for about $100 and I think that it is in your region (California). I know a guy who has stacks of them, but shipping would probably kill you to get it from Indiana. I've retired mine from mowing (I have a commercial cub zero turn for that) and so my 123 is used for moving my 42" blade for moving mulch or snow and for my 36" snow blower. I hope that you locate a deck soon.........my 123 did do an awesome job at mowing and as you already know, gave a smooth ride!!!

Merk.....thanks for the extra photos on cutting that lift arm down....gulp!!! I can't believe that I am going to cut an original part......this one might hurt and even leave nightmares, but it is for the best I keep telling myself!!!haha.....

Okay. I drilled my holes in my frame, attended the tractor and small engine show where I purchased a new lift assembly and now I am stumped on spacers. I read in the manual where I need to have spacers between the frame and hydraulic mounting bracket (holds & supports the hydraulic unit-not cylinder). What size spacers are they 1/2" would be my guess, but I do not know for sure.......anybody else know? Also, I cut my deck lift support off at the correct height, but where do I get that extra bracket that the cleavis attaches to? Is that my old bracket, but modified? Or am I missing a part that I need? Suggestions??? Thanks in advance for the pictures and help!!!! I need to take some pictures and post....don't I? Sorry. I just never think to do that and I'm about 40 miles away at this time.....Yikes!! Hopefully someone will realize what bracket I am talking about.

Thank you RPalmer for the specs. and great photo!! Do you happen to know anything about the lift arm? The manual says "new lift arm". Is that my old lift arm reworked or do I need to acquire a new lift arm for it?

Cub Cadet 123,

The part you need to weld to your modified lift arm (rock shaft) is NLA. No Longer Available. However you can find the rock shaft with that part already welded on it from one or more of the sponsors listed here. Matt G. just sold one a few weeks back. They are available. While you are checking on parts make sure you have the pump adjusting bracket. It is what allows you to put tension on the pump's belt. I hope this helps.

I am putting a hydraulic lift on my 73. I rebuilt the lift handle a couple years ago and didn't want to cut it up. So I bought a lift handle / rockshaft off a 100 and the angle that the bottom arms that actually lift the deck are totally different.I didn't have full range of motion due to the arms hitting the frame. Also recently, taking the pump off a 122 tried to use the same handle on it but it was also different and wouldn't work. Is it just me? thanks

Do you still have the lift ratchet and lift ratchet spacer assembly in the tractor?

I remove my lift ratchet and lift ratchet spacer assembly from my 100.
